How to Choose the Right Driving Category

Autoteisės offers courses for all major driving categories. If you are not sure which category suits you, this short guide should help.

For everyday use — category B

If you simply want to drive a passenger car for work or everyday needs, category B is the standard and most popular choice.

For motorcycles — A, A1, A2

For those who want to ride a motorcycle, depending on age and desired power, category A, A1, or A2 will suit you.

For professional driving — C, CE, D

Those pursuing a career in freight or passenger transport should consider category C (trucks), category CE (with trailer), or category D (buses).

Combined packages

If you want to obtain several professional categories at once, consider C+CE or the full C+CE+D package — this is often more efficient than training for each category separately.

Additionally — BE and licence reinstatement

For towing a trailer with a boat or caravan, you will need category BE, and for those who have lost their licence — our licence reinstatement programme.
